The frequency in staff restaurants seems to have decreased sustainably. How can ZFV face up to this new reality? One possibility is to create an attractive offer that reaches employees working from home.
We tested a food delivery service for ZFV.
This is what we analyzed:
- Snacking and eating habits in the home office
- Quality and presentation of competing delivery services
- Customer requirements for food delivery
- Internal process steps and time required to handle the service during ongoing business
ZFV wanted to test customer needs when eating at home with a CONCIERGE MVP. This is a special form of market test. In contrast to the normal market test, the first edible prototypes are already available. We then select a small number of people to have these prototypes delivered to their homes. This allows us to test not only the concept but also the taste of the product with consumers.
The new offer was advertised via newsletter. When the first orders were received, the ZFV team processed them completely by hand.
Advantages for ZFV
- For the customers, it felt like an automated process. In the background, however, the ZFV team carried out, documented and learned from every order, every meal and every delivery.
- The offer could be tested under real market conditions.
- No investments in technology, personnel or scalable processes were necessary.
Project overview:
1st online survey with over 90 responses
2. 10+ customer interviews
3rd Concierge MVPs: Basel and Winterthur with over 15 deliveries
4th online survey with over 15 responses from the customers supplied
5. customer interviews with 25% of the customers supplied
"We want to test innovative ideas on the market as quickly as possible. Together with innohack, we were able to check how our new service offering is received by our existing customers without a great deal of internal effort.
